Aubusson style handmade bold modern rug by Doris Leslie Blau.
Size: 5.0" × 5.0" (152 × 152 cm).
This mesmerizing flat-weave was made in the renowned Aubusson technique but looks nothing like traditional tapestries from the venerable French weaving center. Instead of undulations, Baroque ornaments or romantic landscapes, the modern rug flaunts an imaginative design of flower-like geometric medallions. The motifs, due to the masterful application of colors and shapes, seem to be in motion. Such a graceful and dynamic design will enliven a wide array of decors, giving them a pinch of playfulness.
In terms of workmanship, this custom rug is second to none. It was carefully woven by hand of supreme wool by an Apt artisan to ensure its resilience, durability and uniqueness. Provided minimum amount of care, the modern flat-weave will serve its owners for generations without any signs of blemish.
