Contemporary European Folk Stamverband IV goat hair rug by Doris Leslie Blau
Size: 4'9" × 6'3" (144 × 190 cm)
Inspired by the works of tribal weavers, this contemporary carpet was handwoven with utmost care. It draws the attention thanks to both its fascinating pattern and texture. Three diamonds in the middle connected with their tips contain smaller crosses inside them, working perfectly with the serrated edges of the frame. At the top at bottom part of the modern tile and carpet the weaver put two straight lines in an effort to anchor the design. As we can see, rug‘s texture seems very soft and fuzzy in an effort to emulate the feel of animal pelt. Color palette contains mainly shades of white, grey and black which together create a very tasteful mix.
