Scandinavian weaving craft has a long tradition, which inspired countless designers and artist alike with its simplicity and cleaver use of color. This particular aubusson rug definition mixes classic solution with modern approach in a one of a kind composition. Pattern is definitely its strongest point – fern-like plants twine gracefully on the surface, mesmerizing with their slender form. Thanks to its symmetry, design does not seem overbearing or heavy. Using only three colors weaver was able to create something taken straight from the Art Deco painting – deep red and two shades of beige complement each other better that anyone could suspect. The final effect is stunning – complex but balanced pattern and beautiful colors come together in one flat weave rug ikea, worthy of kings.
