Customizable Hand Knotted Rug inspired by Henri Matisse art and style.
Designer: Ella Hartweger, textile artist.
Rug size: 100 x 250 cm (3.3 x 8.2 ft). Ideal as an elegant, statement runner rug.
Customizable to any size and shape.
Quality: Hand knotted, 150 knots per square inch.
Over 575 000 handmade knots required to create this custom rug.
Material: pure New Zealand wool.
Colors: 16 custom-dyed colors. The base of the rug is an elegant cream in old lace / linen color. The design elements have shades of light salmon and coral, Indian red, dodger blue, sky blue, aquamarine and sea green, as well as firebrick red and maroon.
Sustainable and certified fair-trade artisanal production. Label Step fair-trade partners.
This beautiful rug can also be ordered in even more luxurious materials like pure silk or mohair. A combination of materials is possible as well. Production time may increase for these options, depending on material availability.
