About the Item
DUNE was born from observing transitions between earth and sky—mist fading over a dune, a shadow softening on warm ground. Shades of sand, stone, turquoise, and white are woven into a composition that shifts like a desert landscape seen from above. One side is graphic, the other sketch-like—and the middle drifts between them.
Hand-woven from natural materials only, using techniques that emphasize material and textural depth. The contrast between dense and open areas creates soft but distinct movement—like nature reorganizing itself.
Gadi Carmel’s design moves between architectural simplicity and poetic delicacy—guided by the idea that the strongest forms are often born from shifting sands.
