Hand hooked in wool from a renowned workshop in Germany circa 1920-1930, this 18 x 24 antique rug is a particularly rare palace size rug of its period—both collectible and well suited to discerning projects in its large size as well as its rich, intricate play of red and green with an all over floral pattern.
Further to its rarity, Josh has seldom seen an antique palace size rug of this refined quality and sense of movement in this good condition and hand hooked lineage—as uncommon in its subtly distinguished pattern as it is bold and regal in the play of these colors and scale through such a meticulous drawing.
