Made with hand-knotted wool in 9x12 size circa 1980, this vintage Agra rug hails from the one of the earliest traditional designs in the Modern Classics collection by Rug
Kilim, acquired from the work of Berj Adatjian—one of the premiere creators of hand-knotted rugs in the late 20th Century who began to create some of his finest work in Romania like this play of unique colors and grandeur. The specific transitional play of beige and gold with this hypnotic, uncommonly subtle use of a rich burgundy red background color in this stylistic floral pattern depicts one of our favorite Agra rug sensibilities from classic works of inspiration—particularly well-suited in size and temperament to main dining rooms, studies, libraries, discerning living rooms, and master bedrooms welcoming a classic style.
