This antique Aubusson flatweave rug features an eau-de-nil field with a central ivory oval containing a large floral and leafy spray within a narrow shaded green and raspberry-red band entwined with delicate vine and a floral arrangement at each side all within a plain raspberry-red band forming a large curved panel, an outer ivory curved panel with a delicate floral spray at each corner and a similar small floral arrangement at each side, an outer rope-motif band and an acanthus leaf in each corner, plain outer raspberry-red and orange plain narrow stripes.
