A masterpiece of Persian weaving, this antique Kashan prayer rug, crafted entirely from lustrous, fine-knotted 100% silk, is an item of exceptional beauty and religious significance. The design is centered around the venerated Mihrab (arch) form, designating it as a prayer rug. Within the sacred space of the arch, the Tree of Life motif ascends from a stylized vase, creating a densely articulated paradise garden filled with delicate flora and perched birds. The presence of the birds symbolizes the soul resting in the branches of the Tree, emphasizing the connection between earth and the divine.
