About the Item

This traditional revival Arts and Crafts inspired rug has a shaded tomato-red field with an overall design of teal-blue and green-grey bold cusped acanthus leaves enclosing a green-grey, sandy-yellow and pale blue palmette linked by delicate leafy vine and a pair of polychrome minor flowerheads, in a broad teal-blue border of bold scrolling pale-blue and light green acanthus leaves linking flowerheads and tulip shaped flowers between light blue meandering flowerhead vine stripes and plain ivory minor stripes, plain outer shaded tomato-red stripe. Handmade by master weavers in Egypt.
