About the Item

This is a large antique European carpet woven during the first quarter of the 20th century circa 1920's and measures 398x 311CM in size. This carpet has a simplistic open field design with a pistachio green background color. The border is made up of repeating empty cartouches with the same pistachio green in the center surrounded by a beige color and has a red outline surrounding each cartouche. The rug's design is finished off with an outermost burgundy border creating a frame around the full rug to give it a type of finish. This example has been retained in overall perfect condition with all of its original full luxurious pile and has recently been professionally washed.
