About the Item
This rug is extremely unique. The history of wool felt rugs began with nomadic tribes in the Central Asian Steppes. I have been producing and designing this extremely rare form of rug making since 2002 in Iran, Turkey and now, Nepal. The price is very fair considering the rarity of contemporary hand felted rugs. For those unfamiliar with my unique felt rug collections, the experience is very unusual. The 3/4" felt is soft and thick and it feels incredibly luxurious to walk on. No rug pad is required. There is no backing to the rug. The back can also be used as a second side. My boutique rug practice is well known in the Bay Area where I have operated several storefronts since 2002. The current location is in Oakland. My felt rugs are so easy to clean. They are flat which means a good sweep is all you need. Spot cleaning the stain resistant wool felt keeps the rug looking like new.
