This vintage Pirot Kilim from the Balkans (modern-day Serbia, formerly Yugoslavia) embodies the refined craftsmanship of Southeastern Europe’s celebrated flatweaving tradition. Handwoven entirely from hand-spun wool, it features a striking lattice composition filled with jewel-toned motifs—warm reds, golden mustards, soft yellows, earthy browns, and cool sky blues—set against a balanced beige field. The bold border, animated by floral and geometric forms, gives the piece both structure and movement.
Almost square in proportion (8′5″×9′5″), this kilim brings visual harmony and understated charm to modern or traditional interiors alike. Its flatweave texture makes it ideal for layering or anchoring a living room, dining space, or bedroom with quiet European character and warmth.
