About the Item
This rug is exceptionally unique. The history of wool felt rugs began with nomadic tribes in the Central Asian Steppes. We have been producing and designing this rare form of rug making since 2002 in Iran, Turkey and now, Nepal. These rugs have unique properties that puts them in a class of their own in the flooring industry. The 3/4" felt is soft and thick and feels incredibly luxurious to walk on. No rug pad is required. There is no backing to the rug. The back can also be used as an alternate side making every Peace Industry felt rug reversible. Our boutique rug practice is well known in the Bay Area where we have operated several storefronts since 2002. The current location is in Oakland. These rugs resist most types of wear with ease. Simply sweeping the top of the rug with a standard broom is how we recommend dealing with dirt and debris. The lanolin rich wool fibers are naturally stain resistant which means cleaning liquid spills is as simple as blotting with a mildly soapy sponge or rag.
