About the Item

Based on an original Asmara painting by Elizabeth Moisan inspired by a 14th century Tuscan villa. Yellow-green leaves and flowers, in shades of garnet, red, yellow, gold and orange adorn brown branches which grow from the borders and spread out on an espresso-black background. Combining ancient Savonnerie dyeing and weaving methods with a loop weave invented by Asmara, this cut and loop pile rug has subtle shade and texture variations reminiscent of the best antique rugs. Also available as a needlepoint rug and as an Aubusson rug. Has passed independent durability tests by the Independent Textile Service of Dalton, Georgia, USA. Green manufacturing methods make this rug safe for children and pets. Use with a pad. Measures: 9' x 11'-8".
