Contemporary Warm Whitre Soft Shiny Silky Rug by Deanna Comellini 300x400 cm
By Deanna Comellini
Located in Bologna, IT
“KamaSu”, in the color “Bianco Luce”, is a bright and ultra-soft contemporary rug by designer Deanna Comellini, founder and creative director of G.T.DESIGN. This model features a hand-stitching that brings together two “KamaSu” rugs creating a large, pleasant island upon which to lie and let the hand roam. "KamaSu", part of the groundbreaking collection “Kama”, was introduced in 2001 revolutionizing the contemporary rug industry and becoming part of the history of design. The first rug to use a sumptuous and wild hand-woven viscose fiber, "KamaSu" captures the light and let it fluctuate on its weave. A design of Deanna Comellini, the contemporary rug features the highest quality of the reflective fiber to create a thick yarn with a unique brilliance, softness and color depth. The dope dyed yarn is hand weaved on traditional looms and cut in irregular technique, making the luxurious rug so seductive that it is named after the Indian God of Love. Bringing a sensorial feel to interior design, "KamaSu" takes center stage in any space, shifting the perception of rug design from accessory to essential element in interior design. In the color "Bianco Luce", a bright warm white, "KamaSu" creates a surface of great visual impact, precious and magnetic. It is ideal both in night and living areas. "KamaSu" is a vegan rug...

cc-tapis Tapis Rectangulaire Tenture by Faye Toogood
By cc-tapis, Faye Toogood
Located in Brooklyn, NY
On the occasion of Milan Design Week, 17 – 23 April 2023, Maison Matisse invited the British designer Faye Toogood to interpret a Chinese black ink on white paper from the book Dessins: Thèmes et Variations (1943) by Henri Matisse. The result of the collaboration with Faye Toogood is a collection of furniture for the living room or bedroom that reveals a least well-known universe of the master, and which Maison Matisse wants to bring out, far removed from the colourful work we are used to seeing. His black and white drawings. The Esquisses collection marks a new step for Maison Matisse with its first objects in a monochrome palette of black, white, and natural beiges. The pared-down colours of a drawing, they foreground the essentials of patterns, and highlight the fluidity and liberty of intuitive gestures that Henri Matisse transmitted even with simple ink on paper. Toogood had previously dedicated her studio’s Assemblage 5...

Production time for this rug is between is approximately 10-12 weeks. For environmental reasons and to provide our full bespoke service, our rugs are always made to order. -- About the artwork on which this rug is based: Mondrian was best known for this type of abstract painting in which he limited his palette to the primary colors and black, adding gray here as well. Thick, black vertical and horizontal lines delineate the outlines of the rectangles of color. The painting creates a harmony of contrasts depicting the balance and at the same time the tension of dynamic forces. -- About Piet Mondrian: “The more basic the color, the more inward, the more pure.” Piet Mondrian Piet Mondrian was a Dutch artist who revolutionized the art world with his abstract works. His development as an artist was a journey from traditional landscapes and still-life paintings to the geometric purity of neoplasticism. Mondrian’s art...
