This rug is a great example of 1950s pop art interior. Made in high quality finish Rya handmade weaving technique. Made by Finnrya Oy AB in Finland in the 1950s, it is made of 100% wool. It features a unique blue abstract design. It was designed by the designer OILI MÄKI, which is indicated on the rug label.
An interesting piece for every modern home in a lovely vintage condition. Would fit well in any home with 1950s-1970s decor or in combination with modern midcentury interior.
This rug was purchased by the prior owner in Helsinki, Finland in the 1950s.
