Large sized 10 x 13 ft Renaissance Aubusson Savonnerie style European hand knotted Area rug
This large hand knotted wool rug shows a French design from the Renaissance period. it has a wool pile and cotton warp and weft. It is decorated with flowers and plants.
It was made in the 1960s in Bucarest, Romania. Rugs of this origin are well known for their vibrant colors and excellent work.
