Hand knotted in one of the most respected looms in Nepal, this 4 x 6 rug joins the European collection by Rug Kilim, this design affectionately entitled “Arabesque” named for the inspiration of eastern elements in the 18th century European market. Enjoying a blend of quality wool and silk, this particular edition of the pattern enjoys an inviting emphasis of the green colorway in the silk’s natural sheen as it transitions into the beige-brown hues, the play of the light and dark areas lending a sense of movement to the curvilinear floral repetition, a remarkable finesse complementing the rustic charm of this European rug style. About the collection: Equal to any pillar of our collections, our European category encompasses some of Josh’s favorite selections reflecting with time-honored and contemporary designs from as early as the 17th century and onward.
