About the Item
This striking yet balanced TISCA rug is a strong example of late 20th century European textile design. Designed by Ulrike Sarvari, the LEON model features a bold zigzag and stepped geometric pattern that brings rhythm and movement to the space. The interplay of deep blue and turquoise hues creates a dynamic visual effect that feels energetic yet sophisticated – confident without being overwhelming.
With its large dimensions of 170 x 240 cm, the rug is ideal for living rooms and spacious interiors, where it can function as a central design element. Made from pure virgin wool (reine Schurwolle), the rug has dense, plush fibers that are soft to the touch while being exceptionally durable. On the back, you will find the original TISCA HANDTUFT – LEON / 8778 label, which certifies the model, production technique and authenticity.
The rug has never been used and comes from long-term storage. Excellent condition, with vibrant colors, smooth surfaces, and no signs of wear – an increasingly rare trait for pieces from this era.
