About the Item
This vintage rug from the 1970s, by Ken Scott (1918-1991), the celebrated American designer known for his bright and bold floral patterns. The carpet features a black background, where large, very realistic bell-shaped flowers in bright blue colors are resting, creating a beautiful contrast. Each flower is depicted with fine details, as if they were hand-painted, and they play intertwined with the green of the leaves.
The frame around the carpet is the same blue as the flowers, which gently contrasts with the dark background, framing the entire floral scene and giving a sense of balance and harmony to the design. On the edge, in one corner, the initials "KS" are visible.
Made of pure wool, worked on a mechanical loom.
