Vintage English Needle Point 5'0" x 7'5". Usually English or French, often with repeating allover designs executed with wool cross-stitches. Larger carpets are workshop productions, smaller pieces have a single artisan author. Flatweave texture, without elevated pile. Best are 19th century although modern examples are frequent. Patterns of bouquets, single flowers, domestic animals and plants.
