Showcasing a bold expressive design, incredible detail and texture, this hand woven wool Vintage German Alice Koch-Gierlichs tapestry is a captivating vision of woven beauty. The bold geometric pattern and lively colors woven into this vintage AKG tapestry work together creating a truly unique look. The abrashed field is covered in an all-over asymmetrical design comprised of amorphous organic shapes with a strong sense of dimensionality. Color blocks and striations run across the width in beautiful, elegant gradations. The organized system of its chaotic order has been transformed into an artistic composition. From a distance, the naturalistic forms create a cohesive biomorphic pattern that connects home interiors with the elements of nature. Drawing inspiration from Joan Miró and Wassily Kandinsky, this vintage German wall hanging awakens the soul with its elevated Abstract Biomorphic style.
