This 4x6 vintage Aubusson tapestry is a rare and special new curation from Rug
Kilim—a signed mid-century original by French artist René Fumneron, entitled “Calypso”, handwoven in wool and originating from France circa 1960-1970.
On the Design:
"Calypso" is a remarkable composition, with an earth-toned field where undulating bands of brown, tan, and cream create a rhythmic landscape, punctuated by stylized trees with delicate chartreuse foliage that adds organic vitality to the scene.
