About the Item

This is a vintage rug European silk woven during the mid-20th century circa 1940’s and measures 185 x 125 cm in size. The design of this piece is based on early 17th century Persian rugs woven exclusively for the Safavid court that has been reproduced ever since. it has a center medallion set on a light black background color and has an extremely soft color palette that uses pastel colors making it extremely decorative and highly desirable by designers. it has been preserved in excellent full pile condition and has been professionally washed.
