About the Item

An ornately carved 1860 Louis XVI walnut arm chair from France. The chair has its original upholstery, which is in a pattern of large and small interlocking diamond shapes. The carvings are in excellent condition and are finely detailed. There is some minor wear consistent with age and prior use.
