Dating to the 1700s, this period Louis XV fauteuil has an à la reine form, which gives the armchair its wonderful, shapely form. The wooden frame, which has asymmetrical leaf motifs, has been painted a light gray hue. The same shade of gray can be seen on the luscious silk upholstery and matching throw pillows, which have a light blue ground and a repeating motif (in light gray) of a bee encircled by a laurel wreath. The pillows have the additional embellishment of golden tassels, making this an aesthetically appealing and comfortable armchair.

The upholstery and cushions are not original.
