About the Item

This 18th Century Bavarian/ Alpine Stag HORN Antler Chair is hand ASSEMBLED and often referred to as an antler throne, HUNTING or lodge chair. it is the coolest one we have ever seen. It's made from naturally shed deer, stag or elk antlers. The antlers are steam-bent, pinned and downed together. The seat is a natural leather with a sheepskin wool topper (removable). Designed more as a statement or ceremonial chair, it reads as intentional and heraldic. Bavarian and Tyrolean antler furniture often uses red deer antler, which are thicker and palmated, and more sculptural than most North American antlers. This piece was found in the small town over 1,000 years old, outside Munich where original antler furniture was designed and produced.
