About the Item

A stunning chair made in Sweden, circa 1930s. The style is very much within the Swedish Grace/Art Deco period. Sculptural meant to be seen flamed birch lattice back frame, sweeping keyhole armrests- this chair provides generous depth with hand-tied springs; all fully reupholstered in luxurious soft sea foam green mohair. Designer unknown. Reminiscent of early works by Axel Einar Hjorth. Frame has been professionally restored. Round back cushion added; comes with snap-fastened discreet leather straps and can be removed. A gorgeous chair quite unique. Imported from Sweden.
