About the Item

This is a Champagne Chair, designed by Estelle Erwine Laverne in 1957. It was made by Formes Nouvelles. This piece was produced in the early 1960s as part of their Invisible series. It features a cast-acrylic perspex shell, and has a tulip-shaped revolving base. It has a cushion that is removable, currently upholstered in a Peacock Blue silk-velvet. It is properly stamped underneath, ‚ÄúMade in Italy, Champagne Chair Laverne, Formes Nouvelles‚Äù. This chair measures 23.5 inches deep, 23.75 inches wide, and 31.5 inches high. There are some signs of wear on the base, and to the acrylic. The velvet seat is in good condition with minor rubbing. Overall, this example is in very good vintage condition with light wear. Please see photos. Genuinely faulty goods will be replaced or money refunded on a case by case basis, however we must be advised of any faulty goods upon receipt of the item.
