A very stylish, high-quality late 19th-century Victorian period Arts
Crafts carved walnut leather library armchair. Circa 1880 and in lovely original condition. This attractive library armchair has a solid walnut frame, with a nicely shaped carved backrest, leather arm supports, a generous seat, and carved lion’s head mask armrests. Lovely turned legs terminating in original brass and porcelain castors. The original leather, with studded trim, has a great look to it, slight wear commensurate with age, and has been fed and waxed to give it a wonderful mellow glow. The chair seat height is 42cm. In very good original condition and comfortable to sit on, it is a perfect addition to any home or office.

A lovely late 17th century Spanish walnut and leather armchair, retaining its original leather seat and back, held by worn gilt brass studs. The back of the chair has two finely carved scroll acanthus finials above two broad arms, which are supported by carved balusters that run through into square front legs, these are joined by a high and heavily carved stretcher with two shaped stretchers joining the front and back legs at either side. Great patina to the wood and leather. In very good condition.
