About the Item
A fine quality rosewood armchair with shield-shaped back and standing on cabriole legs. The seat is covered in old brown leather. The back is covered in the same and is also tufted. The crest rail is carved with a foliate motif. The cabriole legs are carved at the knee and end in scrolled toes atop brass casters. The chair has a lovely shape with a dynamic flow throughout from the shaped arm supports, undulating seat rail, and elegant arms. Retaining a good color and patina. It would make a terrific desk chair, library chair, or accent piece.
