Exceptional Early Viennese Biedermeier Armchair, circa 1825
This elegant and truly exceptional early Viennese Biedermeier armchair dates to circa 1825 and exemplifies the refined proportions, understated sophistication, and masterful craftsmanship for which Viennese Biedermeier furniture is renowned.
Crafted in beautifully figured walnut with walnut veneer, the chair displays a rich, deep amber tone enhanced by a genuine 200-year-old patina. The harmonious balance of form and function—so characteristic of the Biedermeier period—continues to influence modern design and makes this piece as relevant today as it was two centuries ago.
The chair is structurally sound, sits very well, and is notably comfortable. The upholstery has been carefully selected to complement and emphasize the warm amber hues of the walnut. Elegant carved details further highlight the refined simplicity and quiet luxury of this armchair.
The piece is in very good condition and is finished with a traditional French polish. A Certificate of Authenticity is included.
