This exceptional pair of Viennese Biedermeier upholstered armchairs, dating to circa 1825–1830, exemplifies the finest principles of early 19th-century Austrian design. Distinguished by their harmonious proportions, refined silhouettes, and masterful craftsmanship, these chairs embody the timeless elegance that continues to inspire modern interiors.
The beautifully preserved upholstery complements the deep amber tones of the original walnut wood, enhanced by a rich 200-year-old patina. Raised on gracefully shaped feet, each chair features an artfully profiled backrest and delicately formed armrests—hallmarks of sophisticated Viennese Biedermeier design.
Pairs of this caliber are extremely rare. Beyond their aesthetic appeal, the chairs are exceptionally comfortable and sit very well. They are offered in very good condition, with a traditional French polish finish.
