About the Item
Pair of French Louis XV armchairs with stunning original blue mohair upholstery with brass tack beading, sculpted from fine walnut, and featuring exquisitely formed frameworks with subtly arched seatback crowns and undulating aprons supported by carved cabriole legs, ending in escargot feet, connected with double-lyre "X" stretchers. The apron is also carved with stylized shell and foliate motifs. Elegant and exquisite color! Bought in France near Paris.
