A rare find of exquisitely hand-carved 19th Century Corbeille Bergere, Louis XVI Style, French Armchairs, Circa 1800s. The Chairs have beautiful proportions with the attention to detailing of the period. The patina has a naturally age-distressed texture of the original French grey gesso/paintwork which adds to their charm.
Made in an era when pieces were crafted to last and get better with age.
The chairs are ready for reupholstery.
