About the Item

A handsome pair of moulded and sculpted walnut Régence style armchairs, upholstered in terracotta velour. Although very similar, these chairs are not quite identical pair. They are slightly different sizes, one being embellished with a shell décor picked out in golden highlights, the other moulded with a shell and flowers. The shaped "à la reine" back-rests are an attractive feature, while the broad and deep seats are designed for comfort. Elegant curved legs terminate in interesting 'snail' feet, and are connected by a curved 'entretoise' or spacer. The fabric will need a clean.
