About the Item
A vintage pair of Mid-Century modern American armchairs made of hand crafted Mahogany attributed to Grosfeld House, in good condition. The corner chairs are composed with a tall inclined backrest, detailed with plum carved arms, standing on four arched wooden legs, enhanced by detailed wood carvings and grains. Newly upholstered in a white cotton velvet farbic. Minor fading, scratches due to age. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa 1950 - 1960, United States.
Seat: 21" H x 20" W x 18" D
The Grosfeld House Furniture Company was an American manufacturer, founded circa in the 1930's. Many well-known American designers have worked, designed for them, such as Vladimir Kagan, Eugene Schoen and Lorin Jackson.
