About the Item
Pair of early 20th century chippendale revival armchairs circa 1923.
Good quality pair of mahogany armchairs by well known Swedish maker Nordiska Kompaniet. Hand carved using a chippendale inspired design. Shaped and pierced back rest, scrolled carved arms, standing on front cabriole legs with carved acanthus detail to the knee. All legs terminating on a pad foot.
Very comfortable chairs which offer a very generous seat, making them ideal for hallway/reception room chairs. Makers label on the underside of each.
Fabric cover now in obvious need of replacement, but is just a re-covering project and not full upholstery. Minor surface marks to woodwork.
