Antique 18th Century Dutch Marquetry Elbow / Desk Chair – Fine Quality Full of authentic charm and character, this fine quality 18th Century marquetry elbow arm chair is an exceptional example of period Dutch craftsmanship. A versatile item, it would serve equally well as a desk, side, hall, or carver chair, owing to its both practical and decorative nature. The chair stands out for its exquisite, rare marquetry and finely carved detailing, whilst it's drop-in seat has been professionally reupholstered for added comfort and style. It has no loose joints and retains a rich, well-developed patina that enhances the chair's timeless appeal. Dimensions Width: 73 cm Depth: 55 cm Height: 117 cm Seat height: 47 cm (when sat on) Condition Good antique condition overall, showing expected signs of age including historic knocks, marks, scratches, wear, losses, imperfections, and repairs consistent with functional 18th Century furniture. There are some minor historic extinct woodworm holes that have been treated for good measure.
