About the Item
This so called nursery chair was handcrafted in the late 18th century. The legs of the chair are made out of turned wood. The seat is artfully covered with rope made out of twisted reed and is in fine condition. The oval back of the chair is decorated with a carved ornament within a carved frame. The ornament reminiscent of ornaments used during the reign of Louis XVI. All parts of the chair are joined with wooden nails.
