About the Item
We are delighted to offer for sale this truly sublime, high Victorian Burr Walnut occasional chair with truly exquisite Royal Coat of Arms Armorial crest embroidered seat and back rests
This chair is a work of art, I can’t believe the embroidery hasn’t been stripped and framed, it is genuinely around 160 years old and considering the age, in very fine order, this chair should be considered a piece of art
The frame is all burr walnut, the seat rails have an exquisite patina, the arms are nicely sculpted, all in all it is a genuinely good thing, it is medium sized so not so small as a nursing chair but not so large as a full sized gentleman’s reading armchair, it is a nice decorative occasional chair
We have cleaned waxed and polished the timber, the embroidery has just started to go in a couple of places, I wouldn’t recommend using this as an every day piece
