This is an antique morning room chair. An English, mahogany desk or elbow seat in Sheraton taste, dating to the Georgian period, circa 1800. A wonderful example of Sheraton-inspired craftsmanship, offering elegance, comfort and refined decorative interest. Select stocks display fine grain interest with deep caramel hues Presents a desirable aged patina, consistent with the Georgian period Ideal for the morning room, study or refined reception spaces Professionally reupholstered in the traditional manner for lasting comfort Striking wheat sheaf crest rail crowns the back rest Decorative back splat with carved acanthus and flowerhead motif Graceful arms extend outward, terminating above turned supports Deeply cushioned seat finished in tasteful plum coloured upholstery Quality brocade trim accents the lower seat edge above the frame Stands upon elegant spade feet to the fore Rear legs gently splayed in a square section profile This is a fine Georgian morning room chair, graced with rich Sheraton overtones and quality craftsmanship.
