About the Item
Antique Set of (4) Spanish Dining Chairs with Tooled Leather Upholstery that will require restoration. Our Set of Four Spanish Armchairs are what we would call in the trade near pairs, simply meaning that they are close to being matching, but there are minor differences. In looking closely at the upholstery it appears that the tooled leather had some decorative paintwork when they were first made over 100-years ago. Although the leather is clearly worn and in need of desperate repair, it is absolutely possible to restore the original tooled leather and we have done it many times, although it does require a skilled craftsman, patience and a sizeable budget.
Please note an old repair to finial, image 5. Leather is torn is many areas. Please look closely at all detail photos.
