About the Item
Armchair from the “Mobili nella Valle” series, Mario Ceroli for Poltronova, Italy, 1972.
Iconic armchair from the famous “Mobili nella Valle” series, created by Mario Ceroli in 1972 for Poltronova. The work, made of shaped and carved wood, reflects the artist's typical poetic and sculptural language, which blends art, design, and spirituality.
In this series, Ceroli transforms furniture into sculpture: the monumental and metaphysical forms evoke the mystery and theatricality of De Chirico's figures, while maintaining an artisanal soul and a strong symbolic component.
