This adjustable chair distinguishes itself with a bold architectural presence, its rectilinear frame and upright profile evoking the clarity and rigor of early modernist design. The armrests are the most expressive element of the chair. Rather than following the strict angularity of the frame, they project outward in a softened, sweeping arc before resolving into the vertical supports of the legs. This gesture breaks the rigidity of the form, introducing rhythm and movement to an otherwise severe composition. The tall backrest can be adjusted in its angle. The red-brown leather is secured to the frame with brass nails, adding a touch of sophistication. The chair’s proportions are deliberate and almost architectural: the elevated backrest elongates the profile, while the sturdy legs ground the piece with a sense of permanence.
