Art deco vintage armchair or Windsor chair from beech designed by Anna Lülja Praun circa 1952.
The beech stained similar to cherry in a honey brown wooden tone and hand polished.
Beautiful loose cushions covered with Josef Frank Design textile fabric and steel springs coated with plastic facilitate perfect sitting comfort.
Josef Frank, who designed the fabulous fabric design in Vienna, which are now manufactured by Svenskt Tenn, stands for cozy and comfortable homes.
The armchair or Windsor chair shows elegant lightness.
Windsor type armchair have a long tradition especially in the Arts and Craft movement. Many designer in all decades used the typical features for their pieces due the livable coziness. Very good and stable condition.
The designer Anna Lülja Praun designed many beautiful furniture pieces for the famed Viennese Interior Shop Haus and Garten in the 1950s.
Felice Kalmar had taken over the management of the interior shop, which was founded by Josef Frank and Oskar Wlach in the 1920s, and had a co-working with Anna Lülja Praun for few years.
Anna Lülja Praun a leading female architect personality from the 1950s to the 1990s in Austria.
She designed furniture concepts which characterizes lightness and openness.
