Greene bringing a distinctly West Coast interpretation that resonated with Stickley’s ideals. Wealthy Los Angeles families furnished their Craftsman bungalows with Stickley pieces, merging East Coast craftsmanship with California architecture. This cultural exchange helped solidify the Mission style as one of the most iconic American design movements of the early 20th century.
