About the Item

American Arts Crafts armchair of stained hard yellow pine with leather upholstered seat. The frame is constructed entirely of 2” x 2” elements with mortice and thru tenons. Note the exposed and beveled tenon ends used as a decorative element in the design of the chair. Attributed to George Clingman for the Tobey Furniture Company line of Russmore Mission furniture. American, Chicago, after 1902. Dimensions: 21-1/2” W x 25” D x 33-1/2” H 25-3/4” (arm height) 18-1/2” (seat height) 18-1/2” (seat width) 18-1/2” (seat depth)
