Vintage Rosewood Armchair by Celina Decorações, Brazilian Midcentury, 1960s
By Celina Decoracoes
Located in New York, NY
This armchair is made of solid Brazilian Rosewood, with new upholstery in gorgeous suede leather. The armrests have a rectangular design with a back of vertical slats. This model features a delicate and still well-constructed use of this precious wood, which became very scarce with the passage of the years. This piece received new upholstery in soft nubuck leather, but its structure in solid Rosewood remais in original condition. Based in Rio de Janeiro, the Celina Decorações factory imposed high-quality standards, maintaining handcrafted characteristics. The company was created in 1951 when Munis Zilberberg takes over the family business - a small upholstery workshop that worked on refurbishing sofa beds and antique furniture. The name is a tribute to her mother, Celina Zilberberg...

Moroso Gemma Armchair in Blur Black and White by Daniel Libeskind
By Daniel Libeskind, Moroso
Located in Brooklyn, NY
The Gemma collection was developed around the idea of contrast and experience derived from the perception of a shape. The multi-faceted profile is reminiscent of both a precious gemstone and of the compositions typical of fifteenth century Italian tapestries. The collection represents a synergy between the complex geometries of Libeskind and the well-known expertise of Moroso. Libeskind has drawn a tremendous amount of inspiration from natural geological forms including crystals, gems and natural rock formations...
